I gave the new game engine a chance.
What I like:
- Older riders perform better. Thus riders will have a longer career
- Importance of experience has been decreased
What I don't like:
- It seems to me that daily form is more important than ever: I have seen that some riders got very good results despite:
a. A bad fit with the race profile
b. Very bad age-exp (experience not important at all anymore)
c. Low TS of LO's/TM's
- Basically this turns the game from a management game into a lottery
This worries me. In my opinion daily form should be in a performance range from -3% - +3%. Currently it is at least -10% - +10%
I am curious about your observations/opinions on this matter!

Excellent idea chili!
It's really weird to see old and experienced riders having 95% of their success depending on their daily form (especially climbers: how many times have you seen Froome losing everything because of an off day?)
Sounds like a nice idea Chili
I like that idea Chili.
Like it too :)
great idea Chili
Wow, controversially I am going to say this is the best engine so far.
My idea is for off days to be decided by exp. An inexperienced riders performance varies greatly having unexpected wins and terrible results where as a real pro limits their bad results.
Like 10% for a level 1, 1%. For a level 8.
Just a thought.
I really like OCM, but the luck factor is to big atm. Normal days is not normal, off days is... The importance of exp. should be tweaked up a bit and the difference between super legs and off days should be reduced.
It's not luck it's a joke. Young riders with low exp no matter what their stats are can not do anything. Teams that train young riders end up having to wait 3 or 4 seasons to get a result Plus there are very few TT races so theres another reason to no longer like the way OCM is going. This game is so unrealistic that it is a joke.
Going into Cymru and Essex i don't even check for rivals strength. It will all come down to luck on one stage so why waste time. Just to see that i was beaten by someone that had one rider that would fit in my team, team mates TS is under 70% and most likely doesn't have the equipment i have, like it happened the other day.
OCM:one bug is fixed,2 bugs appear
I agree, luck factor seems to be too big. I just looked at the results of Tour of Hawaii. Off course no surprise who won it, but the rest seems to bo decided for a large deal on luck. Half of top ten riders I would not have expected there.
I completely agree with you. It's a lottery no doubt about that. Take a look at this race result: http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/?page=Race&race=Morella+-+Morella
There were three riders ahead of Farruco that might as well be his water carriers so unsuited they were for that stage.
Tours are of course not the best examples because there simply aren't that many sp teams around there, so the chance someone ends up high who doesn't really belong there is much higher than in normal races. But even in Tours it shouldn't really be possible, I agree on that.
If climbers almost win hill sprint races with barely any sprint support, sprint stats and probably with inferior equipment, that is a very bad sign
Yep, I would like to see less impact of off days as well. Some randomness is good, but it's too much atm. Apart from that it's also very annoying to see riders overperform or underperform badly, because you just know it's not based on skill.
